The
bearer of a City and Guilds qualification has demonstrated that they are
competent in their chosen field. It shows that they have completed their
apprenticeship and have been through an examination process which combines
theory, in the shape of written examinations along with a practical tests.
Only when they have been deemed to be competent will they receive their
qualification.
